The analysis and numerical approximation of partial differential equations (PDEs) are fundamental tools for modelling phenomena in fluid propagation. The resulting mathematical problems are of many different types and, consequently, of interest for researchers in several areas. The relevance of the phenomena under study, either from the experimental point of view (better accuracy of the observations) or of risk analysis (prevention of damages from extreme phenomena) depends on a good mathematical understanding of the dynamics involved.

The main objective of this workshop is to present some recent advances in the formulation, theoretical analysis and numerical treatment of this type of models. It is aimed at mathematicians, physicists and all researchers and postgraduate students interested in fluid propagation modelling.

The workshop will take place in the Faculty of Science of the University of Valladolid (Spain) on 26th and 27th of June, 2023
